Bruce has had a Fall

The Admission 2 Discharge (A2D) program keeps all the key medical and cultural information about an individual who is unable to speak for themselves for any reason (aged, intellectual disability) in a folder which travels with them whenever they attend any medical appointment. This is particularly useful in emergencies when on certain occasions in may not be possible for a friend or carer to stay with the person right through their visit to hospital or to a clinic.

Inky Smudge was asked to produce a short dramatised video of a member of a group home (Bruce) who has a fall and is taken to hospital by paramedics. We watch Bruce’s progress through the emergency room, onto the ward and then in preparation for a return to his normal life. We see the A2D folder move with him at all times which helps the various clinicians that make contact with him understand his unique condition and needs.
Inky Smudge was involved with script development, casting, location, filming, post-production and distribution through the web.
